Dylan Cappello grew up wanting to be a racer. It didn't matter what kind of vehicle it was, he wanted to race it. From an early age, he has made it his past, present and looks forward to his future.
Dylan Cappello lives in Peoria, AZ. He is getting ready to enter the 7th grade. He was born on January 17, 1996. Dylan has maintained either Principals List or Honor Roll every quarter since starting school.
In 2003, Dylan started racing Kid Karts. He won a few races and finished well in the others. The family decided to try quarter midgets. He ran four Junior Novices races and won all four including the Copperworld Classic at Phoenix International Raceway. He then moved to Junior Honda and later added Junior Stock.
In 2004, Dylan earned several track records and A-main wins. At the Silver State Winternationals he finished 3rd in Junior Honda and 3rd in Junior Stock. Gasoline Alley Nationals he finished 3rd in Junior Honda.
In 2005, Dylan qualified 4th and finished 6th in the A-main of the Western Grand Nationals. He won the Silver State Winternationals in Senior Stock as well as finishing 4th in Senior Stock & 2nd in Modified at Gasoline Alley Nationals, which is held at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, IN. He won the Copperworld Classic in Light 160.
He set fast time in both Light Mod and Senior Stock at Desert Fury. He won the A-main at Desert Springs in both Light 160 and Light Mod. He also had several other track records and A-main wins.
In 2006, Dylan set a new World Record in Senior Stock at the Ernie Bose World Record race in Pomona, CA. At Thunder on the Mountain, he set three track records in Light Mod, Light 'B and Light 'AA and won all three A-mains. He was the Western Grand National Champion in both Senior Stock and Light Mod. At Gasoline Alley he won Senior Stock, Light Mod and Light 'B. This has never before been done in the history of the race. He also received 10 track records and several other A-main wins.
In 2007, Dylan won the Western Grand National Championship in Light Mod and set a new track record in Light 'AA. At Gasoline Alley Nationals, he won Light 'B and Light 'AA. At the Eastern Grand Nationals, he won Light 'B and finished second in Light Mod. He also set several track records and won several other A-mains.
